THE CUCUMBER THIEF
(Tia) Once upon a time, live a farmer that has a very large
cucumber’s field. Right now he’s very happy… because tomorrow he can harvest
all the cucumber.
Farmer (Cipta)
: “ Finally I can harvest these cucumber and buy new things for my family.”
(Tari )And then he go home with feeling very happy.

(Cipta) When the moon rise to the sky, and the owls shout each other, a shadow run to the field! That
shadow look very happy when it arrive in the field.
Shadow (Tari)
: “ Hahaha… I will eat these
cucumbers in a blink of an eye.”
(Tia) That shadow start to eat some cucumber in there and it
choose the big cucumber.
(Cipta) When the shadow eat all cucumber, moonlight touch it, that
shadow is MOUSE DEER!
Mouse deer (Tari) : “ I’m full, but
I just eat 10 cucumbers. Ah, never mind, I’ll come back tomorrow.”
(Cipta) After said that word, mouse deer run back to the forest.

(Tia) While the moon take a rest, the sun start to work, also the
happy farmer.
Farmer (Cipta) : “ Lalala… I
can’t wait to harvest my cucumber.”
(Tari) He increase his speed to run with happy. When he arrive
there…
Farmer (Cipta): “ What on earth
is happening in here?!”
(Tia) He is very sad because his field was destroy! He clean up
his field with crying. But, he promise will catch the thief.
(Tari) After clean up the field, he go home with bad feeling.

(Cipta) In his home, the farmer make a prank for catch the thief. He
make scarecrow with glue from jackfruit in each part of body.
Farmer (Cipta): “ Stick to this! Thief!!!”

(Tia) After the scarecrow is ready, he bring it to the field
before sunset.
(Tari) After he arrived there, he sticked the scarecrow in the
entrance of the field and leave it.

(Tia) At the night, mouse deer fulfill its promise to come back,
but before it enter the field, it is being intercepted by the scarecrow.
Mouse deer (Tari) : “ Oh! I think,
you challenge me huh? Let me serve you!”
(Cipta) After said that word, mouse deer start to kick and it legs
stick on the scarecrow.
Mouse deer (Tari): “ Hey! Get off
from my legs! I’ll never come back if you release me.”
(Tia)
But there is no result, so mouse deer
only can be resigned

(Tari
) In the morning farmer go to the field
with running, and when he arrive there, he’s surprise by the mouse deer in
there.
Farmer (Cipta) : “ So, you’re the one who
stole my precious cucumber hah!”
(Cipta) The farmer bring mouse deer to his home and put on the cage mouse
deer, and take in the storeroom, he plan to make meal from mouse deer meat.
(Cipta) While the farmer prepare the seasoning, mouse deer try to
escape.
Mouse deer (Tari): “ How to escape from this creepy place?”
(Cipta) When mouse deer still thinking how to escape, the dog come
in and it confused how can mouse deer get in to the house.
Dog (Tia) : “ Hey! Mouse deer, how come
you enter to this place?”
(Tia) When the dog asking, an idea come into mouse deer mind.
Mouse deer (Tari): “ The farmer put me here
because I’ll become his daughter’s
fiancé.”
Dog (Tia) : “You kidding me ! Are you out
of mind?”
Mouse deer (Tari): “ It is true!!!
but the problem is I dislike his daughter, do you want to switch with me?
Dog (Tia):
“ Really??? Alright then.”
(Cipta)Then they switch their position. But, dog didn’t know about
the real problem. After the mouse deer out from the cage, and the dog get into
it…
Mouse deer (Tari): “ Okay, now you
stay here.”
(Tari) After that mouse deer escape as fast as it can. When the
mouse deer already far, suddenly the farmer come in, and he’s very surprise.
Dog (Tia): “ Hello farmer, so when will
my engaged party with your daughter will celebrate?”
Farmer (Cipta)
: “ Hey! You what!!!! I’ll never let my daughter engaged with a disgusting
animal like you!”
(Tari) Because the mouse deer already escape,the farmer was so
angry, then he change his plan from cook the mouse deer become beating the dog
because it’s very easy to be lied.
